Lauren de Normandie of Status Media Entertainment has purchased and produced ScreenwritingU Alum Ian Patrick William’s (ProSeries 25) script Gangster Land (2017)

GANGSTER LAND examines Al Capone’s rise to power through the eyes of “Machine Gun” Jack McGurn.

Directed by Timothy Woodward Jr., Starring Sean Faris, Jamie Lynn-Sigler, Milo Gibson, Michael Pare and Jason Patric.

Previously, Masterfilm International purchased Ian’s action screenplay THE BLACK SEA RAID.  His screenplay LAST VOYAGE OF ZENDOR was purchased by Full Moon and NuImage optioned his sci-fi script TINMAN.

Ian also won the Chicago Emmy award for co-authoring the teleplay BLEACHER BUMS for PBS-TV; the script was later purchased and produced as M.O.W. by Showtime.
