Lost Visionary is about the life and work of the first woman filmmaker, Alice Guy Blaché, who made films from 1896 to 1920 and who basically invented cinematic storytelling as we know it. The book won the Union Circle of Scholars Award in 1997 and the Women in Film Award at the St. Louis International Film Festival in 2004 and was the basis for the retrospective of Alice Guy Blaché’s work at the Whitney Museum in New York in 2009.
Currently, Alison is shopping her thriller, Heaven Sent, co-written with John Leary (ProSeries 32) which has won or placed in seven different contests in the last few months.
