Joan Chandler (ProSeries 12) signed a deal with Stephen Gardner (Gardner Productions) to produce her script, “Far From the Heart.”
The project is slated to go into production in May with a release date of September. Designed specifically for the web, “Far From the Heart” is an interactive movie for teen audiences about dating and violent relationships. Adapted from the award-winning production with the theater company Sheatre, Joan will receive both a “Written By” and an Executive Producer credit for the project.
A long-time veteran in directing and writing plays and workshops, Joan has recently received several awards from film festivals, and was also honored with the Phil Hartman Arts and Humanitarian Award late last year.
