Mar. 2, 2010: J.A. Carlton Signs with Manager

J.A. Carlton (ProSeries 24) signed with The Blackwood Company’s management division 3R Entertainment.  They’re located in Beverly Hills.    After reading her ProSeries script titled “Soul Hunter,” the manager contacted Jill and requested to represent her.   It’s always exciting when that happens.    Looking forward to your future success, Jill.   

Yesterday, Alyssa Alexandria (ProSeries 7) and Henry Gilroy (head writer for Lucasfilm Animation) had their script “The Olympian” land on Hollywood’s tracking boards.  Within hours, it was requested by 17 big players, including Red Wagon, Legendary Pictures, and Jerry Bruckheimer’s company.    Alyssa is repped by 6-17 Management and Henry by The Gotham Group.  Both

Charlie R. Barnett (ProSeries 19) has been hired by director Jose L. Arjona to write the full length feature of the award-winning short “In the Memories.” The short was originally made in Spanish. Mark Kratter (ProSeries 9) just completed a script-for-hire adaptation of a well-known graphic novel for Stephen L’Heureux of Solipsist Films.   L’Heureux is one of the producers on the SIN CITY franchise.   Mark has multiple projects in development right now, both as a writer and producer.   As always, great job, Mark. 

Don Macnab-Stark (ProSeries 6) and co-writer Rhys Trenhaile have had their script “The Bulldogs” optioned by Canadian producer Jeff Nadalin. As that project moves forward, Don and Rhys have another script that will soon be shopped a producer as a TV Series for the U.S. market. More news on that later. This is Don’s third

Lee Tidball (ProSeries 15) is now being represented by Jo-Ann Carol of Monterio Rose Dravis Agency.   In the midst of promoting his script, Lee got it to a director – who gave it to her agent – and the connection was made.    Jo-Ann Carol is currently shopping Lee’s script to Studios.    Great job

Nicole Jones (ProSeries 19) has been hired to write the straight-to-DVD sequel to GENE GENERATION starring Bai Ling with Jesse Ventura and with MyAnna Buring (THE DESCENT) also attached.  The movie is being produced by Bleiberg Entertainment, directed by Pearry Reginald Teo, and is scheduled to start production in March.   See an announcement on the

Nick J. Scott (ProSeries 18) has signed with Zero Gravity Management in Los Angeles.   Zero Gravity manages, but has also produced 10 films in the last seven years. The connection was made after Nick’s script “Accuracy of Fire” hit Quarterfinalist in the Nicholl Fellowship in Screenwriting competition that is sponsored by the Academy of Motion

Charlie R. Barnett (ProSeries 19) has teamed up with Director/Producer Mark Priems on a low-budget film.  Charlie wrote the script titled “The Neighbor from Hell. ”   They have funding in place and production is scheduled to start in March, 2010.    Sounds like a fun movie.  Can’t wait, Charlie. 

Jennifer Quintenz (ProSeries 10) had her one-hour drama pilot THRALL voted onto the Runway TV Pilot Black List.    Previously, Jennifer was a staff writer on “Wicked Wicked Games” on Fox Network and “American Heiress” on My Network TV.   Currently, she has a feature and her pilot being shopped.   More news coming up.  Way
