ScreenwritingU Alum Ed Rinkiewicz (ProSeries 34) has his action/fantasy screenplay SANTA CLAUS BEGINS optioned by producer Gabriel Horn of New Palace Films.

The deal was the result of Ed pitching the script at the annual InkTip Pitch and Networking Summit

The project is currently listed in development with a predicted release date of 2014. Also attached to the film is co-producer Frank Moll. You can read more about the development of the film here.

Ed recently wrote and produced his own feature film The Ride of Tom and Valkyrie.
