ScreenwritingU Alum Jeff Blyth (ProSeries 46) is hired by producer Jacqueline Gault to write and direct the movie BLUE LIGHTS.

The screenplay will be the adaptation of the young adult sci-fi novel called "Invasion of the Blue Lights"  written by Ruth Glick.

Jeff met the producer a year before during talks about Jeff possibly directing a movie for them.  That never came to fruition, but she liked Jeff's ideas and returned to him about "Blue Lights" and they reached an agreement.  

The project is currently in the financing stage with plans to begin production in 2014.

Jeff has had an amazing career as a writer and director for a number of theme park movies for Disney, including Disneyland Paris, Tokyo Disneyland, and EPCOT Center. He directed the feature film “Cheetah” for Disney and has had two scripts produced by Lifetime Network.
